As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scholarship Support Specialist V to join our growing team. This position is contingent on contract award.
Duties will include the following:
The Scholarship Support Specialist V selected should have the following:
■ Performs a variety of primarily administrative duties in support of the Hollings and/or the EPP/MSI undergraduate scholarship programs. Supports the student scholarship application, administrative review, and selection processes. Tracks and monitors student progress in the student scholarship programs. Organizes, updates, and maintains electronic program files. Assists with the preparation of responses to request for information for review and approval by the Program Managers. Maintains, tracks, and fields inquiries from the designated Scholarship phone line regarding NOAA student scholarship programs. Supports the scholarship program federal staff during the student Orientation Program and the Science and Education Symposium.
● Assists with the planning, scheduling, organizing, and facilitation of Student Scholarship meetings. Participates in student recruitment activities and events.
● Conducts other education and outreach activities in support of the education and scholarship programs, as needed. Submit content for Office of Education social media and web presence.
● Works with NOAA Security Office to issue badges for scholars. Drafts and prepares correspondence for the Scholarships Program Managers’ signature. Provides guidance support for junior contractor staff on the team.
● Maintain a calendar of events, activities, and major deadlines for scholarship programs. Serves as on-site supervisor for junior contractor staff on the team.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), and more than 8 years of experience.
