As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Scientist III to join our growing team.
This individual must be able to complete the tasks to carry out the National Park Service socioeconomic monitoring program functions assigned to the social science team.
This individuals responsibilities may also include but are not limited to:
Support the implementation of applied social science studies in direct support of the National Park Service Socioeconomic Monitoring Program
Carry out assigned socioeconomic monitoring functions as part of the social science team, in accordance with program objectives and protocols
Coordinate and manage field logistics for social science research across public land units, including scheduling, permitting, staffing, and on-site execution
Administer surveys, interviews, and other data collection efforts following approved study designs and methodologies
Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent studies conducted nationally, ensuring consistency, data quality, and adherence to timelines
Serve as a coordination point between research teams, field staff, and park or land unit stakeholders
Monitor field implementation activities to ensure compliance with study requirements and methodological standards
Support documentation, tracking, and reporting of study implementation activities to maintain program continuity
A social science specialist with PhD level experience in field logistics and administration of
study implementation at public land units that thoroughly outline the capability to handle the possibility of a high volume of projects being conducted at any given time nationally.
