As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Statistician to join our growing team.
This position will be expected to successfully oversee the responsibilities assigned to the senior statistician.
The responsibilities for this role may include but are not limited to:
Lead the design and application of advanced statistical methods supporting social science, socioeconomic, and visitor use research
Develop sampling designs, estimation procedures, and analytical frameworks for complex, real-world datasets
Analyze large and longitudinal datasets related to visitor use, recreation patterns, and socioeconomic conditions
Ensure statistical rigor, data quality, and methodological consistency across monitoring and research efforts
Collaborate with social scientists, economists, and land managers to translate research questions into statistically sound analyses
Support long-term monitoring programs by developing indicators, metrics, and trend analyses
Interpret and communicate statistical results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Serve as a senior statistical subject matter expert, advising on best practices, methodologies, and analytical approaches in federal land management contexts
A PhD level trained statistician with 10 years of applied experience with social science, socioeconomic, visitor use, data in federal land management.
