As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hydrologist to join our growing team.
Duties of the Hydrologist selected will include the following:
The Hydrologist selected should have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in hydrologic modeling, water resources forecasting, or related applied research.
Knowledge of statistical and ensemble forecasting methods.
Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with diverse stakeholders.
The Ideal Hydrologist selected will have the following:
Master’s or Ph.D. in Hydrology, Water Resources, or related discipline.
Experience with NOAA/NWS operational forecasting systems or similar federal water management programs.
Familiarity with HEFS, FIRO, or other ensemble prediction frameworks.
Experience working with large environmental datasets, geospatial analysis, and database management.
Knowledge of reservoir operations, water management policy, or climate impacts on hydrology.
