As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Analyst to join our growing team.
Duties of the Program Analyst selected will include the following:
- Serve as IOCM Regional Mapping Coordinator and NOMEC Executive Secretary.
- Coordinate Federal, State agency, academic, and other seafloor mapping stakeholder activities and priorities in the Great Lakes region and participate in associated meetings and events.
- Support activities of the National Ocean Mapping, Exploration, and Characterization (NOMEC) Council and Interagency Working Group on Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IWG-OCM), including designing and tracking strategic progress metrics and authoring congressional reports, newsletters, and briefing materials.
- Support interagency ocean and coastal mapping activities, including meeting preparation, facilitation and closeout, as well as preparation and delivery of presentations to broad audiences.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Program Analyst will have the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Marine Science, Engineering, Biology, Oceanography, GIS, Remote Sensing, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience, to support interagency ocean and coastal mapping activities, including meeting facilitation and closeout, strategic progress metrics tracking, congressional briefings, and presentations to broad audiences.
- The candidate should have 2+ years experience in marine policy and coordination across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Must be proficient in project management, writing, and presenting to diverse audiences.
- Experience with managing and supporting an interagency working group.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills as you will be working with numerous NOAA stakeholders in many forums.
- Knowledge of different types of remote sensing data and working with the government sector is beneficial.
