As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Seal Ecology Support Specialist - Unmanned Surveys to support an upcoming long-term contract that we are bidding on (This will be a contingent position, based upon contract award). Lynker will be operating under FLOAT - A "Fish" and "Lynker" Ocean Alliance Team - a Joint Venture Prime contract holder for NOAA ProTech Fisheries*.
Duties of the Senior Seal Ecology Support Specialist - Unmanned Surveys
Participate in unmanned aerial surveys. Research activities may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
1. Contribute to the design and programming of the survey
2. Maintain drone hardware and software necessary for conducting flights
3. Serve as pilot or ground support for unmanned survey
4. File necessary reports for NOAA UAS surveys, such as Federal Policy Checklist, Notice of Intent to Fly, post flight situation reports
5. Ensure data collected from cameras and other sensors are of sufficient quality to meet survey objectives
6. Contribute to the survey report, manuscripts and presentations
7. Provide field activity and analysis summaries required for MMPA research permit.
Minimum Requirements of the Senior Seal Ecology Support Specialist - Unmanned Surveys:
● FAA Part 107 pilot license required.
● More than 100 hours experience flying NOAA certified fixed or rotary wing UAS.
● Possesses knowledge of NOAA requirements for unmanned surveys
