With a commitment to excellence and a passion for innovation, Lynker leverages cutting-edge technologies and scientific expertise to support the creation and delivery of improved operational weather forecasts.  Lynker is expecting an upcoming need for an experienced and talented Program Director.  This position is contingent on Lynker winning the contract with the government.  The ideal candidate must reside in, or be willing to relocate to Sioux Falls, SD.

Responsibilities

The Program Director selected will be Responsible for the Following:

 

This position is an executive-level Program Director with primary responsibility for managing team members at multiple locations including oversight of the technical and administrative support of a large contract supporting the Federal Government. The Program Director will be Lynker's on-site liaison with the government's contract representative and government managers, as well as perform employee and contract management functions. In addition, this position is an integral part of the Lynker Technologies management team. Responsibilities will include business development and proposal contributions from time to time.

 

The Program Director will oversee and mentor other staff to ensure contract requirements and goals are met; manage annual contract budgets and plans, develop and control deadlines and contract activities such as deliverables and training; apply change, risk and resource management (recruiting, cross-training, etc); and coordinate employee engagement activities to build morale.

Qualifications

The Ideal Program Director will have the Following:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. biology, oceanography, marine science, engineering, computer science) Masters Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of Program Management or Director level Experience managing large (100+)teams of remote and on-site employees
  • Experience managing subcontractors is a BIG PLUS
  • Experience managing program budgets exceeding 10+M/year a
  • Experience with federal contract management
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent personnel, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • PMP Certification is a BIG PLUS.
  • Previous experience supporting any federal organization is a BIG PLUS.
  • Background in remote sensing, sensor systems, or Geospatial product and data development, and/or data center experience preferred.
  • Business development and proposal writing experience is a BIG PLUS
  • The ideal candidate must reside in, or be willing to relocate to Sioux Falls, SD.
