As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Intern to join our team and support our staffing and recruiting operations.
This position is part of a temporary contract and is only for a 3 month time period.
This role offers hands-on experience in HR, focusing primarily on benefits administration and process improvement. The intern will work closely with the HR team to support various aspects of benefits management, from employee enrollment to answering benefits-related questions. Additionally, the intern will assist with identifying, evaluating, and implementing improvements to HR processes to increase efficiency and enhance employee satisfaction.
*Key Responsibilities:*
1. **Benefits Administration Support**
- Assist with employee benefits enrollment, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Help maintain records and track benefits-related inquiries to ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Provide support in answering basic employee questions about benefits plans, eligibility, and options.
- Collaborate with the benefits administrator on open enrollment processes, preparing materials and aiding in communications.
2. **Process Improvement**
- Participate in evaluating current HR processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data to support process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate on projects aimed at streamlining administrative tasks to improve efficiency.
- Work with the team to document new procedures and ensure they are clear and accessible to all HR staff.
3. **Data Management and Reporting**
- Support in maintaining accurate employee records in HR systems.
- Assist with generating reports related to benefits utilization, employee satisfaction, and process efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy policies.
4. **Employee Engagement and Communications**
- Assist in drafting employee communications related to benefits and HR updates.
- Contribute to informational sessions or workshops about benefits and HR programs.
- Gather feedback from employees regarding HR services and benefits programs to inform process improvements.
5. **Administrative Support**
- Support general HR administrative tasks, including filing, record keeping, and other office tasks.
- Assist with special HR projects as assigned, providing valuable support to other HR functions.
