Responsibilities

The Duties of the Pricing Strategy and Budget Operations Manager will include the following:

  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability

  • Working closely with other teams to closely track movements in costs

  • Monitoring and reporting on pricing performance and competitiveness

  • Analyzing price change requests from the operations and business development teams by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels

  • Developing pricing proposals for new services

  • Tracking market trends and keeping up to date on prices set by competitors

  • Collaborating with sales, and finance teams on pricing decisions

  • Staying updated with pricing best practices and market dynamics

  • Working with Subcontractors to negotiate approaches for competitiveness and execution in teaming arrangements

  • Review and analyze operational budgets to assess performance against projections, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial outcomes.

  • Collaborate with the operations team to evaluate spending trends, ensure cost-efficiency, and provide recommendations for budget adjustments.

  • Prepare and present budget reports, including actual performance versus budget, to operations and finance teams, offering strategic insights for improved financial management.

  • Provide monthly updates to operation teams regarding actual performance against budget and provide recommendations for corrections

  • Support Merger and Acquisition (M&A) opportunities in due diligence and financial forensics.

  • Participate in financial reporting, forecasting, and supporting audit functions as assigned.

Qualifications

The Ideal Pricing Strategy and Budget Operations Manager will have the following:

  • You have a degree in Business Administration or a related field

  • Prior experience in a similar role including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating pricing process documentation

  • Understanding of pricing strategies specific to government contracts, including cost-plus, fixed-price, and time-and-materials contracts.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, comfort with numerical data, and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in operations, finance, and business development.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present financial methods and recommendations to senior leadership, including VPs, CFO, and operational managers.
