As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Specialist (Machine Shop Supervisor) to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).
Supervise Mechanical/Mooring Production by Field Service Mechanical Technicians
Supervise Machine Shop/Weld Shop production and operations
Assigns and monitors production goals
Assigns qualified team members to Field Service Missions
Develops annual Machine Shop consumable needs list
Monitors Machine Shop consumable inventory
Conducts Pre- and Post- Mission Coordination of Assigned Teams
Assesses/assigns of Shop Support Tickets
Maintains the paint/sandblast facility
Coordinates with the Operations Manager, Electronics Shop/Engineering Lab Supervisors to meet production goals
Available 24/7 for Machinist/Maintenance Trades Helper or Field Service related support
AS/AA Degree plus 5 years of relevant experience
