As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced System Administrator to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).
This position is contingent upon contract award.

Experience in the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of IT system hardware and software and related IT infrastructure; participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the IT infrastructure; and experience demonstrating proficiency in installing and maintaining system hardware, operating systems, software systems, network systems, security systems to related system administration best practices.
Experience installing OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities; Configuring, adding, and removing services as necessary; Upgrading and configuring software applications per project or operational needs; Performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required; Configuring CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required; and maintaining data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
Experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and/or Cisco IOS operating systems.
Experience implementing DISA STIG requirements is desired.
Experience with administration of cloud environments is desired.
Experience with scripting languages and automation is desired.
Ability to support 24x7x365 operations
Associates Degree (or equivalent) and a relevant NIST Standard IT security certification" (or equivalent).
